A Residential Support Worker is required to work with children & young people with learning disabilities/challenging behaviour within a variety of Residential and Respite Units in the Lincoln area paying £7 to £9 per hour.

Reporting to the Team Leader you will be required to work as part of a team to maintain the standard of care required by this Social Services Department.

This post is temporary, varying in duration and requires a flexible approach to shift work.

In your role as Residential Support Worker you will work as part of a team and be responsible for:

•Providing general care for young people with learning disabilities, ensuring optimum well being at all times
•Personal and intimate care
•Adhering to care plans
•Supporting emotional needs
•Liaising with outside agencies and families where appropriate
•Domestic duties

To qualify for this Residential Support Worker role you will need:

•Experience of working with young, vulnerable people with learning disabilities
•Effective communication skills
•A pro active, willing attitude
•Transferable skills
•To demonstrate initiative
•A genuine desire to care for the well being of young people
