Vehicle Technician (Electrical)

Automotive - Prototype Vehicles - Power train

Location: Northamptonshire

My client a leader in automotive powertrain development is looking for a Vehicle Technician to support the build & test team. Tasked with the modification of prototype vehicles you will primarily be involved in the adaptation of electrical harnesses to suit specific applications.
You will carry out wiring modifications and support the design and manufacture of harnesses as required. You will conduct the fitment and removal of development engines from prototype vehicles including and fabrication and fitment work required.
Supporting the department you will carry out road and track test work and install specific instrumentation to development vehicles.

Candidate:
Ideally with a recognised Vehicle/Engineering apprenticeship you will have demonstrable experience in the development and modification of vehicle electrical systems and harnessing, particularly with prototype vehicles. You will have proven electrical repair experience combined with a mechanical appreciation. You must be self motivated with a problem solving mentality.
