Job Description
Medacs Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced RGN specialising in Oncology to service the community on behalf of a private healthcare organisation in Northampton.This role is essential for the delivery of clinical care to patients, training of patients and carers, and managing teams of Clinical Support Workers.Accountabilities & Activities:Communication:Provide information and support to clients and their carers as applicable to the stage of the patient\'s journey. Manage emotional issues relating to the stages in the patients journey. Maintain confidentiality, knowing when to disclose information appropriately to personnel and family members. Accurately and comprehensively record information including sensitive and confidential information as appropriate. Communicate with other health professionals and support agencies. Leadership:Responsible for leading on individual packages of care. Leading a team, providing advice and support.Clinical Governance:Responsibility to ensure that incident reports are correct and completed in a timely manner. Knows and understands the stated objectives for their area and maintains the quality standards which have been set. Clinical care delivery:Understand the principles of health promotion and the disease process and apply these within their practice. Knowledge of the care and management required by clients / carers associated to their practice setting.Knowledge of the long-term physical, psychological and social impact a specific diagnosis and treatment can have upon a client\'s rehabilitation, their carer and family. Identify own and colleagues\' support need in situations of grief, loss and bereavement. Discuss individuals care plans with the care team and understand own role in delivering care. Able to offer advice on care based on own experience and observations. Respects people\'s dignity, wishes and beliefs; involves them in decision making and obtains their consent to care being undertaken. Alerts the relevant person when there are unexpected changes in individual\'s health and wellbeing.
