Their largest range of services is located at their main site in Northampton, but they also have regional sites in Essex and Birmingham and Mansfield.

St Andrew\'s currently employ over 3,000 staff, who are passionate about what they do evidenced by their Investors In People accreditation. They are working hard to ensure that all employees have the opportunity to develop and further their careers, and are now looking to strengthen their training team with the appointment of a Training Manager. Reporting into the Head of Training and Development, this role will be responsible for leading a team that looks after all of the non-clinical central training activity for the charity. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the development, management and circulation of the annual training plan, identifying and taking ownership of all resource requirements and logistical needs and liaising closely with the various divisional/directorate training teams through to evaluation.
  • Ensure the quality, consistency, structure and delivery of all induction, statutory and mandatory training is to the highest standards, continuously improved, evaluated throughout the charity in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external professional bodies and internal non-clinical heads of department.
  • Lead and develop the central training team, ensuring regular appraisal reviews are conducted.
  • Take ownership for the maintenance and ongoing achievement of the Investors in People standard.
  • Support the Head of Training and Development in leading the Operational Learning and Development Group and ensure all projects and developments are progressed effectively.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate In-depth training, learning and development knowledge from design through to evaluation. You will demonstrate strong planning, organisational and project management skills and have an in-depth understanding of a range of blended learning approaches and methodologies. You will have a minimum of 3 years training and development experience including the management of a training team.
