Financial Accountant - stock management
Mobility division
Northampton
As part of our client\'s global network of companies, the Mobility Division is the leading provider of transportation and logistics solutions.
Our client is currently looking to recruit a part-qualified Financial Accountant to play a key role in the effective operation of their fleet of trains within the Transportation division. In this crucial role within the business your main responsibilities will be two-fold - to report on, analyse and reconcile actual vs. forecast stock levels in the Northampton warehouse, but also to form close working relationships with stock counting teams and the local depots to help minimise any discrepancies.
In this exciting and highly team-oriented role, the strong working bonds that you create with the UK depots and Northampton stock warehouse will mean that you\'re always kept informed when stock orders are placed, therefore enabling you to keep fully accurate records of outgoing and incoming stock levels. As a part-qualified Accountant, you\'ll reconcile the resulting reports and feed back into the business for analysis and action at senior level.
By helping the business to maintain accurate stock levels, not only will you ensure the ongoing and successful operation of the rolling stock fleet throughout the UK, you\'ll also contribute towards positive cashflow and future budgeting to drive future business progression.
This highly challenging, exciting and rewarding role will require you to possess a strong combination of financial accounting experience (ideally as a part-qualified accountant within a stock management environment), together with highly adept interpersonal skills. Experience of using financial accounting systems eg SAP would be highly advantageous, as would a high level of competence using MS Office applications including Excel.
An excellent remuneration package is offered, which includes attractive basic salary, bonus, overtime pay, pension, flexible benefits scheme and discounted health care. With an excellent progression structure in place, this represents an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a highly progressive organisation.
If you\'d like to apply for this challenging and highly rewarding opportunity, please forward a copy of your CV together with salary expectations, shortlisted candidates will be contacted shortly to progress their application.
