Our client is an innovative and creative manufacturer of speciality chemicals. They manufacture and supply products and services to the flavour and fragrance, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, electronics and life science sectors of the chemical industry. Founded in 1991 and located in the heart of England, they are a speciality chemical manufacturer with expertise at laboratory to pilot plant scale. In addition to their production facilities, they have laboratories for R&D, Custom Synthesis and a fully equipped Analytical department to ensure their products meet the highest standards of quality.
To meet the increasing demands of their products, Our client is currently recruiting for a Production Chemist to join their manufacturing team in Daventry.
Reporting to and working with the Laboratory Team Leader, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient manufacture of chemical products as defined by process instruction sheets and other standard operating procedures. You must organise and prioritise your workload to agree targets, recording and reporting key manufacturing date on a daily basis to comply with company procedures for quality assurance, H, S& E.
The successful candidate will possess; a minimum of HNC in Chemistry or applied Chemistry, coupled with experience of working with organic synthesis. It is essential that you are capable of following written procedures using your knowledge of H&S/COSHH and they are looking for candidates with the ability to work in a team environment. Production experience at pilot plant scale and experience of analytical chemistry is highly desirable.
